The residence is located on the most beautiful stretch of the Calabrian coast, just a short walk from noble Tropea, in Capo Vaticano: a place rich of charm and legends. The ancient Greeks were fascinated by the beautiful cliffs that overlook its crystal-clear water. In more recent times the writer Giuseppe Berto, who lived here and loved this land, called it "Costabella" – the Beautiful Coast. The name expresses only partly all the wonders of this part of Calabria: coves with fine sand, transparent water down to the sea bottom, crystal clear, clean blue water, and a mild climate.
